Kansas State University mail-in radon kits
No kit counter in your county? Order by mail. Kansas State University runs National Radon Program Services, including the national radon hotlines, for the U.S. EPA. Checked October 1, 2026.
Mail order only, no walk-up window. If a health department near you has a free or cheaper kit, start there.
Prices and ordering
- Short-term test, 2 to 4 days: $20, all costs included.
- Long-term test, 3 to 12 months: $30, all costs included.
- Order on the National Radon Program Services kit page or call 1-800-767-7236.
- Mail it back the day you finish. It has to reach the lab within 10 days.
- Helpline: 1-800-55-RADON (557-2366).
- Kits ship Monday and Thursday and typically take 1 to 2 weeks after that.
- A credit card charge shows up as KSU Cashiers Office.
U.S. homes only. New Jersey has a different short-term fee and cannot use the mail-in check form.
